Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

time to clock in and clock out

Is there any documentation to show mw what is the texas law for when I can clock in and clock out for work. I am a mobile technician and am often driving for 1 to 2 hours to a job in the morning and then again back to home. I only live about 26 miles from my work office.

I do not usually go directly to the office. I am being told to clock in only when I get to my job site, and when I am leaving the job site. I on very rare occation stay at 1 job site for the entire day.

For over a year now, I have been gone from my home for an average of 11 hours and only being paid for between 8 to 9 hours. the rest of the time is driving.

I do have a company vehical.

Please help with any official information, and I would love to know wherre i could get documentation to back up the result.

thank you.
