Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

unpaid commissions

I am a 1099 with a moving company in West Palm Beach FL. I have over $12,000 in unpaid commissions for the year 2007. I have asked for compensation for the past 1.5 years with no serious effort to pay. I have complete documentation of. My 'employer' does this to all vendors and employees who have finally left the company. He thinks he is invinsible. This is a franchised location partly (50%) owned by the corp. in Dallas, TX. Can Corp. and the other 30 locations be sued also?

Re: unpaid commissions

If you wait longer, yu probably will not prevail. Hire a lawyer now..who will probably ask for a retainer..as most franchises make the local owner respnsible..but the Dallas group may be. Good luck but delay will be death of a claim generallly..
