Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas
waitress pay
I work at a restaurant and was told I would received $2.13 per hour plus tips. I have worked there 2 months and was told I will not be receiving a check because I made too much money in tips. Is this true or am I being cheated.

Re: waitress pay
Based on what you have stated, it appears that your employer is not treating you correctly. If you were told that your compensation would be $2.13 per hour plus tips, then your employer should be paying you that agreed upon amount. You will need to look at any employee handbook (if applicable) to see if there is anything that might be in opposition to what you were told.
