Two weeks notice - Employer required to pay?

We had an employee give his two week notice. We are in retail and chose to terminate him immediately instead of him working those two weeks.

Do we owe him two weeks pay since he ''gave'' notice?

The two week notice he gave was his doing. His immediate termination was not... You may just pay him for the 2 weeks to avoid a nuisance. Call us if you have other questions7137714775
