Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

My wife works at dollar General she is paid hourly and forced to take a hour lunch break but she now can not leave the back office while she is off the clock. From what she tells me she has to clock out and sit in back office for a hour can not leave the building is this legal? State Tx

probably...she should contact some union organizer and they can't fire one for trying to unionize a busiiness....google..union organization..etc..
