Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

I work for a company in Texas that has resently changed their policies. They now say that you can miss only six days a year before you are fired. They will not except any excuse for being absent from work, not even a doctors note. I was just wanting to know if it was legal. They are not going to start the point system over, they are just going to put it in affect. I have more points than six because the policy has not changed yet. When they cange it, I will loose my job due to the new change.

Yes, this policy is legal.

Texas law allows employers to fire you for almost any reason (exceptions: race, religion, gender, etc.).
