Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

work injury

My son hurt his back at work. His duties include bending all day. He asked to see if he could do other duties that did not include bending down. He was told to deal with it or quit-he had no rights since he is only a temp. What are his rights?

Look at the Texas Compensation website...if the employer has work comp insurance, he could get medical treatment and if the doctor says he cannot work, be paid if off work for more than 8 days. If the employer does not have work comp..he needs an easier job..ie quit
