Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

I worked as a salaried employee until three weeks ago. My boss said I was going hourly but everything would stay the same. After my first "hourly paycheck" came in, I noticed my annual income had dropped $14K. It has taken me 3 weeks of questions to my boss as to why. His reply yesterday was, "Yes, I forgot to tell you....take it or leave it" I'm in Texas

The Texas Workforce Commission may be able to help you in two respects. First if you leave promptly after a substantial drop in pay you should still be eligible for unemployment benefits, Second, you may be able to recover the difference up until you received the first check under the Texas Payday Act.
