Wrongful Termination

What is the statue of limitations for filling on a past employer. I was let go from a company for mis handling a potential harrasment issue and then was replaced by a black individual that I supervised and demoted for a confirmed,investigated sexual harrassment in the same company. Please reply to the first statement.

Re: Wrongful Termination

There is a 2 year limitations period for filing a wrongful termination claims. However, there is 300 day time limit for filing an EEOC complaint and a 180 day limilt for filing a complaint with the Texas Human Rights Commission. Which one applies depends on your facts.
