Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas
I am a Youth Pastor in a church. Since being on staff (over 5 years now) I have been diagnosed with depression(approx 3 years ago) [depression is moderate to borderline major], never before seen in my life. I now have anxiety issues (about a month) resulting in occupational issues at the church coupled with my depression. If I am asked to leave do I have legal grounds to pursue that result from being "scared" and mental tramatized while serving/working here?

Generally NO..mental illnesses are rarely compensable under worker's insurance. Depending on your age and condition, social security disability may help. However, you may try varioous rehabilitation programs to consider different occupations which your counsellor or doctor may prescribe. But there are few legal remedies available
