Re: Apartment Break Lease
There is no 'easy' way out of a binding contract. First review your lease, see if you are able to document (prove) that the landlord has significantly breached the lease already. If so, give the landlord notice in writing of their breach of the lease. Whether they have the right to 'cure' the lease will be in the terms of the lease. Sometimes, a landlord is understanding of a change in circumstances, and after conversation, and probably some damage payment, will terminate the lease for you. Sometimes if you give a landlord 30 days notice and leave the residence in good condition, so that they can quickly relet, they will not go after you. TCL
