Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas

apartment flood
My sister talked to the apartment complex about the flooding incident that took place soaking all carpet and lanolium floors. There is not water right now and they told her it may be back on by tonight and that they are going to clean the carpet and repair the floors. This should take 2 days according to the complex, in the meantime my sister is supposed to live in the apartment. Shouldn't they have to put her in a hotel or another apartment until the damage is repaired. She was also not able to go to work because the water soaked all of her work clothes and she is spending the day in the landromat trying to get something clean to wear. Any suggestions?

Your sister has a claim for the income she lost as well as the addition costs caused by the flood.
