Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
Apartment Late Fees
If a lease states that late fees are X amount of dollars, can the apartment charge late fees that are different than the ones stated in lease? Also, does this apply if the old lease has expired and was never renewed?

Re: Apartment Late Fees
Based on what you have stated, if the previous lease has expired then a new lease would normally be established on a 30-day basis. This would ultimately depend upon the language contained in the original lease agreement.
