Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
apartment lease addendum
I signed an apt. lease for my daughter two years ago. The lease was for ten months. We received an addendum to the lease for the next year. My husband thought it was for the same lease term. The addendum said 12 instead of 10 mths. My husband signed it thinking it was a continuation of the same contract.
If I signed the original lease, should't I have been the one to sign the addendum for my daughter? Is it legal that my husband signed an addendum to a
contract that was in my and my daughter's name? Is it enforcible that I pay the extra 2 mths.?

Re: apartment lease addendum
It depends upon what the lease addendum says, but it may be enforceable against the person that signed it.
