Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
The appartment building I live in went into forclosure. I recieved a letter in the mail from a property management company telling me to pay rent to them, so I did for 4 months. The new owners of the building are now telling me that the previous property management company does not have any record of my rent payments and are trying to evict me. Do they have that right? Based on something that has happened before they owned the property?

Fight them.
Have these people actually filed a forcible entry and detainer? Are you in Court? Or are they just sending you letters?
Keep paying rent on time, and don't let these people buffalo you.
