Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
Boat Slip Lease
We recently leased a boat slip and decided that we don't want it. We paid in full for the slip for one year, however in the contract there is one area that we failed to initial. We would like to know if this voids the contract or if we are obliged to sublease the boat slip?

Re: Boat Slip Lease
Although I do not know what provision you did not initial, it probably does not void the contract. MOst contracts have a severance clause that the lease would survive any unenforceable clause. Moreover, it may be that the contract did not require initials. You may want an attorney to review the contract in order to get specific advice.
