breaking lease on apt
my son rented an apt after 3 months he lost his job and told them he had to move back with his parents. apt complex wants him to pay $2700 for breaking lease, they re-rented the apt after he moved does he still have to pay for the year he sign the lease for?

He needs to read his lease regarding the consequences of termination. They have mitigated their damages by re-renting the apt, and he is entitled to an offset for that mitigation.
