Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
Car damage
I was visiting a friend at her apartment . When I went to leave I had a board on my car that busted my windsheild. The board came from the roof of the apartment building. I took pictures of the damage, the board, where it came from etc. The manager asked me to give her the photos to submit to their insurance company. She is now saying they are not liable. What is the law on this??

Re: Car damage
Your rights to relief, if any, may depend on what the landlord knew about any problems on the roof that may have led to the board falling on your car. You probably need to speak to an attorney about the specific facts and get personal advice from that attorney.
