Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
My daughter just signed a 12 month apartment lease. The other 3 girls that she is going to be living with are into "illegal things" drugs I just found this out. All 4 are in college and this apartment complex bases the lease on each individual. She wants to break her lease and get out of the complex. She is scheduled to move in there in August. I called the complex and spoke to a "low level manager" there and he said a lease cannot be broken.

The contract is with the apartment complex. The apartment complex is not at fault because your daughter has druggie roommates. The only option is to find someone to move in and take over her lease - with the agreement of the apartment complex.
