Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
Desperate landlord leases to unqualified youth
My daughter that is 18 years old, moved out and signed a
12 month lease with an apartment community. She has no
credit, no rental history no employment and they rented her
an apartment for $925 per month. She probably told them
different but, they must have known, had they tried to
verify. I realize she is at fault but, is there a law that
protects clueless youth?
