Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
Discrimination because of felony 20yrs ago
My husband and i applied to move in an apartment. We really love..
Credit good...Rental history good.....Jobs goood..
But 20yrs ago...My husband is not 40..But when 18yrs old..Young and dumb..Broke into a car and stole music tapes...Did not steal car but tapes only...(dumb kid)
but they say felony is a felony..No matter how long ago..
Is there a time limit on this...
If not..He will never be able to get an apartment anymore..
More and more apartments say no flenoys

This really isn't a real estate question. It is a criminal law question. Try asking in that category -- us real estate lawyers usually don't do much in that area. Best of luck.
