Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
Eviction
my boyfriend and I allowed his father to move into our home we recently purchased to help him out. He has caused many problems and there is ''no rental agreement'', we were trying to help him get back on his feet. Since then he has assaulted me and we asked him to leave. He claims he has a right by law to stay. My question is does he? Do we have to file an eviction notice to remove a family member out of our home where no written agreement or contract was made? Thank you for any help in this matter.

Re: Eviction
Based on what you have stated, there is the possibility that you may have to file an actual eviction notice to remove the person who is staying too long. I would need more specific facts of this case to be able to provide a clear and definite direction. If my law firm can assist you with this legal matter or any other legal issue, please contact my legal assistant Jennifer ([email protected]).
