my landlord is also my employer, I lost my job last week and now landlord tells me to move out by sept. 1 but I have 9 months remaining on the lease agreement-can I make landlord pay for the cost of relocation?

Read your lease. If it does not require that you be employed by him, in order to lease the residence, and you are paying the rent and otherwise satisfying the terms of the lease, he cannot force you to leave. If he really wants you out, then he will have to negotiate his way out of the lease.
