Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
Our family car was involved in a hit and run while parked in our apartment complex.
The apartments are a gated community, but the gate next to our building has not been operational for more than 2 months, so it is constantly left open.
Can the apartment complex be held liable for damages as they are not able to fulfill their commitment to a secured community?
We have no way of knowing now if this was a resident or someone just driving through the complex.
Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.
