Handicap Apartment

I was shown an apartment and was told they had one exactly like it for rent. When I moved in the apartment is equipped for a handicap person. Instead of a double sink in the bathroom there is only one sink, the counters are lower and their are hand rails in the bathroom. Is it legal that they promised one apartment and gave me a handicapped apartment?

Why did you move in? Didn't you go back immediately upon opening the door, and tell them it was unacceptable? The circumstances of your move-in may determine if you have recourse against the apartments.
