Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
hell I had rented an office at a building for my small business but our business didn't make it and it closed we had not paid our rent and the landlord but a lock on my door where I can be my belongs. I have looked at the contract and it says nothing about them keeping my stuff if we coudlnt pay. I live in Texas

Landlords have a statutory lien on a tenant's property for unpaid rent. They can foreclose the lien and auction off the property.
