Getting husband off lease

I rent a home, and am trying to separate from my husband, but he says he doesn't have to leave because he's on the lease. Is there any way to get him off the lease because I pay the rent and all bills alone? I would leave, but he can not afford to live there, and I don't want an eviction on my credit.

You need to file for divorce, and ask for temporary orders, and at that hearing ask the court to give you exclusive use of the property.
