Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas

My husband and I are separated. I live in an apartment complex that does not allow ex felons which he is (DWI). He hasnt drank a drop in over a year. Says its just not worth it anymore.

We would like to resume our marriage at this point. Can the apartment complex keep him from moving in since we are already married?

How does an ex felon find a place to live?

Talk to your apartment complex folks (go in with your husband) and tell them what you want to do. Tell them that he'll help you pay the rent. They're probably worried about drug dealers and rapists, and aren't so concerned about drunk drivers.

Tell them that if YOU catch him drinking again, you'll help THEM evict him.
