Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
Landlord in not paying HOA Dues
Our landlord is not paying the hoa dues and has been served and has legal fees of $1k/month from the hoa. We are nervous that they will foreclose soon. Any suggestions? The LL is telling us it is being taken care of.

Re: Landlord in not paying HOA Dues
Some HOA's in Texas have a great deal of power. Contact them directly to determine the status of the account, and if your lease residency is in jeopardy. Once you have more information, you can decide the next course of action. The law recognizes a constructive termination, that would allow you to terminate the lease without negative consequences, in some circumstances.
