Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas

Landlord pretends hasn't received my pmt and filed for eviction

My landlord is filing for eviction after notifying me three days ago that she has not received my money order and wants late charges paid (it's the 26th). I do not know what they waited forever, but I intend to cancel the initial money order, get a new one and go to court. My problem is this: I have had several issue with the management and have complained to the City and I now they would do anything to get me out. So how do I (re)send them a money order and have legal proof that I did so, to show the judge, in case the landlord decides not to cash my second money order and pretends I did not send one?

Make a copy of the money order before you send it and mail it certified mail, return receipt requested. And remember you can appeal an eviction from justice court to county court. If you do so, however, it is advisable to hire a lawyer to handle the appeal.
