Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas

landlord tenant law

A tenant requested, prior to renting, that they be allowed to use their trampoline on the property. They were denied because of liability concerns. Soon after moving in, they asked again and were told no for the same reason. Several weeks, the owner/property manager (me) left town for a few days. I have been told the trampoline went up the day after I left. What are my options to have the tenant remove the trampoline?

Re: landlord tenant law

Does the lease restrict the use of outdoor play equipment? If not, I doubt if you have any legal recourse, except to not renew the lease. If you want to pay for a lawsuit, then take the matter to court, but I would think the court would favor the tenant, if the lease is silent on the issue.
