Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
In my lease there was no addendum regarding satellite dish services or deposits requirements. I am now trying to get said service and my apartment management is asking I sign an addendum and put down a deposit. I was informed that this addendum is new and has just been put in to new leases within the last few weeks. Prior to this addendum there was a different one placed in leases stating renters could not have satellite service. I was also not provided that addendum in my lease. Am I required to sign the new addendum and pay the deposit?

If you don't, the landlord will probably not renew your lease and will probably resist allowing it to be installed on their property ..
