Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
Lease
My land lord has told me that he is letting the property that I lease go. He told me he has not made the last two months of payments to his mortgage company. He told me not to pay rent and he told me if I was interested I could contact Century 21 who will try to do a short sale to me if I want. I have been pre-approved but my rent is due today. What should I do? I do not have anything in writing other than my original contract. Thanks!

Re: Lease
Talk to Century 21 about the short sale. Otherwise, talk to the bank about continuing your lease after they take the property.
