MY LEASE WILL BE UP IN 30 DAYS I WILL BE MOVING INTO A NEW HOUSE BUT DUE NOT CLOSE UNTIL 9-9-09. CAN MY LANDLORD CHARGE THE FULL MONTH EVEN THOUGH I AM NOT STAYING FOR THE WHOLE \nMONTH

Yes. Assuming that you pay rent by the month, not the week. A month-to-month tenancy requires 30 day notice (at the least) and full payment of rent. The rent is calculated monthly, not daily.
