Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
I leased an apartment the first of July with my (at the time) husband. His name is on the lease, but he never signed the papers. About 2 weeks later, he left and moved to another city. We are getting an annulment. I cannot afford the lease without him. Since he did not sign the lease, is there any way I can get out of it?

Did you sign it? If so, then you are probably liable. The lack of his signature probably gets him of the hook, but doesn't affect you. You need to go to the management and try to negotiate your way out of this. An eviction is costly and annoying for them, and damaging to you.
