Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas

Leasing agreements

I am located here in garland tx and i was wondering. Is their any such thing as a three mon th trial period for an apartment complex. My land lord evicted us then sent out a letter to all the apartments in garland saying we were unrentable do not lease to us. Then after that said we could stay if we kept are place clean for three months. They said we would have no lease and that they could kick us out at anytime. Is this legal.

Re: Leasing agreements

Their conduct is outrageous, and may be libelous. Unfortunately, such a lawsuit is extremely expensive to undertake.

If the landlord allows you to rent an apartment, without a lease, then you are in a month-month tenancy, and it requires a 30-day move out notice.
