Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
leasing
We've been in apartment for a month. We asked repeatedly for a lease and for heaters to be replaced. The address of our landlord was denied to us so we couldn't even write her a letter. Now they're kicking us out and turned off our gas which we are not responsible for paying for.Rent was due today. What can we do?

Re: leasing
If this matter is still unresolved, then you have legal recourse for shutting off the gas. Contact an attorney, or review the landlord/tenant guidelines available from the Texas Attorney General. In some circumstances, the court will award your attorney fees.
