Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
Is this legal
If you pay your rent late,(This is a apartment and rent is due on the 1st but you have until the 3rd) is it legal for a landlord to charge you $50.00 on the 4th, $67.00 admin. fees. on the 8th. (so say filing fees ) and $5.00 everyday after the 4th until you pay your rent along with all these late fees. Is this legal or is there legal laws against this abuse. (also with new lease agreement late fees will be $10.00 a day)

If those fees are set out in the lease, yes, they can charge them.
