Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas

I lost my teaching job and I have gone back to college to get a nursing degree, I can not afford my apartment so I'm forsed to move back home with parents, I've lived in my apartment for 1 year and thought I signed a 1 year lease, they informed me the lease is for 16 months. What can the apartment management do if I just move out.

The apartment manager can put a negative remark in your credit bureau report.

He can also sue you for the last four months' rent, but he won't.

Be sure to take photographs of the apartment after you move out.
