Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
So I just moved out of my apartment complex and they have decided to charge me outlandish fees. I asked them through email about 3 times as to why I was being charged. For instance $24.00 for drip pans in the kitchen. When asked they stated that the apartment was not clean but I have 3 other individuals that can vouch for me. The only thing is they have pictures. First off do I have a substantial case to take them to court? Prior to me moving out I asked the office manager is I needed to do anything the only thing I was told was to make sure all the trash was out. There was no trash left in the apartment but in the lease it does say thoroughly clean but there are not detail in it as to how it should be clean.

If you got your security deposit back, they will have to take you to court. If not, then you will have to take them to court. What you have to decide is whether the cost of taking this to court is worth the cost of going to court.
