Refidgerator problems
My husband and I are in a year lease at a rent house. I have told the landlord about our ice maker not working (the refidgerator was in the house when we moved in and belongs to him). My landlord told me that it's not his responsibility to fix it that we have to pay out of our own pocket to fix it or we will be charged for it when we move out. He mentioned that anything not attached to the house he was not responsible for. Is he correct? What is a landlord in Texas responsible to fix?

If the icemaker worked when you moved in, then the landlord is probably correct about not being responsible for fixing it. You might be able to negotiate with him on a 50-50 payout for that repair. You could also ask him to remove his refrigerator, so that you can install your own, but that is investing cash that would exceed the original problem.
