Remove items from unit?
Can the landlord remove items from your unit for being late paying your rent? Or remove items for being a few dollars short of paying rent?

Re: Remove items from unit?
If your lease has a provision in it authorizing landlord's liens, which provision is large and in bold print, then, yes, the landlord may remove non-exempt items for failure to pay rent. They may not remove items for late charges. They also are supposed to leave a list of the items removed with a notice of what needs to be paid to retrieve your property.
