Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas

We were renting a building from this guy, after renting from him for about 3 to 4 months, something was strange, so we did research to find out if he really owned the building, and found out, he really didn't own the building. We found the owners, and they were willing to sale us the building, but know they are wanting to change their mind. My question is, how can we go after the guy that was renting us the building to get our money back, we have proof of every reciet and signature's from this guy. What can we do? Who can we talk to?

First, contact the police and see if they'll do anything for you (this man has committed fraud). The police may make excuses about why they can't or won't file charges.

Your next step is to sue him (in the civil courts). You'd need a lawyer for this.
