Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
repairs
The plumbing in the house is horrible. If you flush the toilet, it may flush and may not, but the feces goes into the drain and up into the bathtub. Do I have to pay rent until this is repaired???

Re: repairs
A residential home rental has very specific methods to force repairs. Either carefully research the Texas Property Code, or even better, talk with an attorney to write the specific notice letters needs to accomplish this. The Attorney General website also has a landlord/tenant primer.
