Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
what are my rights as a tenant when my apt. gets flooded and they're dragging their feet about cleaning it! There is mold everywhere, on our clothes and furniture. The management has become rude and very unkind, when I talk to them about getting my apt. cleaned up. It has been a week, there was about 5 inches of water on the carpet.

The operative word that the courts will apply is 'reasonable'. You may have specific language regarding repairs in your lease, which you should read and follow. If not, then review the landlord/tenant section of the Texas Office of the Attorney General website, which has pointers on the correct process for a tenant to get repairs completed. Good luck.
