Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
I own my single wide trailer but pay rent to a mobile home park for my lot. They sent out a notice that they are going to start charging per month for our pets. Not only that, they are limiting the amount of pets per household. I have 3 cats that I have had since they were born and they are now 17, 15 and 12 and a small chihuahua that is 4 that I have also had since he was 6 weeks old. They do not go outside as the park do not allow fences. My cats have been inside cats since they were born. If I own my home is what they are doing legal???? They said that if you own your home then you are only allowed 2 pets. People are suppose to make a choice as to what pet to give away when they have ahd them for years?? I think that this is cruel and just down right mean.

Do you have a written lease with these folks? What does it say?
I think your best bet is to move. Find a place that will tell you in advance what their policy is regarding pets.
