Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas

my sons godmother was paying me for a room/bathroom I rented out to her( she was not on the official lease), the agreement was that she alone was sharing the apartment with both me and son/husband. In Sept, she had her boyfriend come stay a few nights with her... which turned into a few weeks. I had approached her that if he would be living there he needed to sit and talk with us about that, that never happened. 3 months later, he's still there, at which point he broke the stove to the apt, which had to come out of pocket.($1500) . when we asked for the $ he became violent and struck my husband, I kicked him out and the next day she moves out( nov 5th) leaving me to pay for rent, the stove and the light bill after telling me in txt she'll stay through Jan. Is there any recourse, can i take her to smalkl claims court ? I have pictures proving she lived here

Of course you can sue her in small claims court. You will have the burden to prove the existence of the rental agreement, as well as your legal right to rent to her.
