sueing landlord
who do i sue for the return of my deposit . The property manager who made me pay her in cash at her office, or the landlord who lives out of state somewhere, that I have never met or talked to. Or can I have them both as defendents.

Re: sueing landlord
I would start w/ just the landlord. The manager is an employee of the landlord and, therefore, the actions of the manager are imputed to the landlord. If the landlord ever denies receiving the money, then add the manager since the manager may have stolen the monies they were given.
