Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
Tenant Lock Out
After being on maternity leave and not receiving a paycheck I was unable to pay rent at the time it was due. I notified the leasing office of the situation 3 days before rent was due and they said that it was okay for me to pay by the 15th(payday). On the morning of the 15th they placed a lock on my door. Is this legal? Thanks.
