Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
Water Bill
I live in 2BR, 2B duplex. No kids, husband in Iraq. I received a water bill for $104.91 one month! Not too mention my electricity bill was $134.00. I gathered I am being billed for water usage for the water sprinkler system. The owner only has access to. Not in lease.Tried rectifying but they are not cooperating.

Before making these assumptions, contact both utility companies, and have them check your meters, usage and lines. There is no cost to you. Rule out any errors. If there is improper usage on your account, contact your landlord, in writing, detailing your objections. If you do not get satisfaction, then take your documents to an attorney for review.
